Anyone have one? Opinions either way? Edit: I live in the Seattle area and fly out of Sea-Tac at least 8 times a year
Makes you open a BOA account! Yuk! I stopped using it. Anyway I prefer my amex.
Have you looked at Chase reserve?
Not yet. I take it you have it?
I prefer citi double cash. 2% back on everything.
I have two for the companion fares. Don’t know if they still allow that though but people have definitely gotten multiples. I do the chase combo for spending though (freedom/freedom unlimited/sapphire reserve)
I do the same with the Chase cards.
Airline rewards generally are useless unless you're a consultant flying across the country every week or really care about priority boarding for some reason. Don't know about the card perks as a whole, but don't pay attention to any line that says "miles"
What? Lol. Used only 50k Alaska miles to fly to HKG on cathay business. And I definitely don’t fly weekly
Good for the companion fate, even if you don't spend. That alone makes it worth the annual fees.
Not good for everyday spend. Good for sign up bonus and saving on bag check fees. I think the United Explorer card has the best perks in terms of bonus points with the MileagePlus x gift card app, spending category bonuses (starting in June), and extra reward availability, etc. Check out a website like The Points Guy for more info on each card.
Thanks! I was reading some of the points guy stuff and its helpful for sure! Im just trying to decide if it's worth it purely for the free bags, sign up bonus, and annual companion fair. Decisions, decisions.
Yep. Comes down to what you value and the routes you like to fly.
