I recently signed an offer with Cummins Inc, and I received a $6,500 relocation package. I reneged on the job offer for another company. So far, they have only contacted me once in May for a reimbursement. I've been the one contacting them and trying to set up a payment plan which they haven't yet approved but I have made one payment. It seems like they don't care about reimbursement. Should I just ignore it and act as if nothing happened? Edit: To Clarify, I reneged on Cummins.
If they forgot about it, it’s their fault. End of discussion
Well, they are going to audit it sometime and they are going to find 6500 missing. What OP needs to prove is he made a good faith effort to reimburse them. They didn’t respond. NOW, it’s their fault
A prior employer came after me after I failed to return my relocation and signing bonus after leaving shortly after joining. It probably wasn't until 2-3 years later but they eventually hired a lawyer to come after me and we settled on an amount.
How much was the amount ?
I don't remember exactly, but we ended up settling around 75% of the amount.
If you’ve made an effort, have emails sent to HR saying you want to reimburse, tell me how.. then you’re fine, if they’ve forgotten.
Google to Cummins why? Their hr will come back for you.
I reneged on Cummins.
