What mapping API does uber use
I thought it was google maps but I heard that they actually used mapbox.
It's in house. Search, places, routing, display, creation - we roll our own. All in various stages of rollout.
They bought Bing maps

Bing Maps is still just a front end on NavTeq / Here maps, right?
Yes. They're looking for additional baseman sources, but they gave up on building their maps when they sold to uber.
