Planning on leaving Deloitte. New company’s joining is in Nov. I’ve already rolled off from my project. 1. Should I inform my Senior Manager before they put me on a new project? 2. I’m international and the new company will be applying for an H1B transfer in early Oct - would Deloitte come to know of this? 3. Any tips on things I should do before I leave/disclose I’m leaving? #consulting TC : 150k
Be prepared to be let go immediately and escorted out of the building once you give notice
I heard Deloitte is bad, but it's that bad?
As Ex Deloitte that is false… you give two weeks notice but if you tell them u going to competitor then yes they will block access but its in context
1. Don't inform them. Expect to be escorted out the minute you let them know 2. Do not let them know about the H1-B transfer. They will not know about this 3. Make sure you have all your personal info from the company laptop transferred to your drive. You may not have access to the laptop after you let them know
Thank you - this is very helpful
Have you ever worked for Deloitte? They aren’t walking anybody out lmao.
Don’t say anything until h1b transfer is approved. You just never know
Do not tell them until your H1B is approved. I wouldnt risk not doing new project, it’s only few more work days
Make sure your h1b is transferred then inform DT. Not initiated or receipt but approved. Take all your vacations, stop working on internal shit. There are tons of such info online. Don’t burn the bridge
Why Vacation? Can you not encash while leaving?
Not the big four I previously served
Want to share some experience but the h1b transfer process may take up to 3 months. I'd actually wait until transfer got accepted and then inform your SM. Up to that point, don't say anything to them
Decline all project work
Lol no
TC or GTFO
Updated!
Get the H1 transfer approved before you speak ….
They will not walk you out if you are in consulting- as long as you are sure your new place will get your h1b sorted out it’s fine to tell them you are leaving- Deloitte is happy for people to leave and then become clients one day!
Lol no. Don’t inform before you resign
