Offer below from bill.com coming in at L7 equivalent. Yes equity is light, but as long as Facebook keeps laying off, I think companies can take advantage in the market. How is the wlb there? Is company panicking under so many acquisitions and leadership turnover? Do you feel like there is good structure in place to keep going forward? Yoe:10 Location: mcol Full remote
Is 700K equity light? What’s the IC equivalent? Sr staff?
Usually at this level I would expect 1:1 salary to rsu. At mid sized companies it would be principal, but L7 does fit sr staff at massive orgs
Very good for MCOL location
I think so in this market. I was making more for the last two years before layoffs
Wow they were offering me 250k total tc in bay for staff engineer.
Seems reasonable if that is equity per year
175k Equity for 4 years?
175 yearly for 4 years
If this is true offer, I will be totally disappointed of my salary as senior engineer at Bill, they gave us only 100k for 4 years as equity with 10% bonus and base as 120k. They even said majority of employees get 10% bonus. So here seems PMs get way more than real engineers
Blind pay transparency helps us all get the most out of our employers. This is a couple levels higher than sr though
“real engineers” 😂 yeah l7 is a leadership role though
Yoe? Location?
