There are no bonuses at amazon. At annual review if your estimated TC for 2 years in the future (2021 at review this year) will be lower than the band, you get RSUs granted this year that will all vest in 2021. Most people in who are still planning for years that they have their initial stocks (ie: started 2017, planning for 2021) won’t see any refresher unless they were promoted or TT. Once you’re planning for your 5th year+ you’ll start seeing refreshers.

Basically no refreshers except if your target compensation falls below the minimum of the band (which is very low), or if you are in the top 5-10% (depending on the team).
