Hi all, I went through the five rounds of interview loop for the Data Engineer role at Amazon. According to me, I did well on the technical side bombing one or two lp questions. i have a doubt in my fourth round with the hiring manager which was supposed to be for 1 hour but she got done with everything in 30 mins. Does that mean it is a red flag? it was mainly LP with few technical questions. i did have another round with another sr manager in the evening which i think was a bar raiser as he was not from the same team, it was only LP and LP, i know the last one did not go well. What are the chances of getting an offer, after the debrief? #amazon #dataengineer #interview
Pretty much I had the same experience in the loop for SA role in AWS. I got rejected one week after. I guess the interviews with hiring manager and bar raisers are very important for getting an offer. After the loop, I felt that I did not answer well to a few LP questions from them. If you also feel same, it is likely to get a reject. But I do not want to make you hopeless, everything can happen at the end.
I felt same and been rejected 😞 2nd time in last 4 year 😞
Can you share what type of questions were asked? Also was this an on-site interview? In all beginning to end how many interviews?
In all there were five rounds including the phone screen round. Each round focused on one particular area. It will either be technical or behavioural. Technical is mostly SQL, dwh, data modelling, ETL, and basic python
For me it wasn’t basic python
Okay and in how many days did you complete all interviews?
