why is it I feel I know nothing about apple interviews? seems nobody is following the nda after interviewing at other faang. but when it comes to apple seems nobody is talking. does apple ask lc ? how many rounds? system? behavior?
I feel Apple asks anything under the sun😆 I gave on-sites last week. They asked me 8 questions in 4 rounds. Each round had one system design and 1 LC/maths puzzle question. They didn't allow me to complete any one of the solution. They hardly gave me 20mins on each question. Even if they were looking at my approach. I felt it was too exhausting with Soo much context switching happening within that short 5 hours.
Do you get offer? And what you mean by they only give you 20 min for coding? So remaining time just chat?
Oh, you wanna know about the interview, well first we start with a — Sorry! Actually, I see you aren’t disclosed on this topic. I’m afraid I can’t answer any of your questions. If you need help with anything else though, feel free to reach out. 😊
Once they asked me to write out what I think Siri architecture is :) I think it’s random
It’a because every team has a wildly different interview process, and it’s hard to generalize and not worth talking about for the most part. I’ve interviewed with multiple Apple teams and have gotten anywhere from nearly pure LC to no LC to systems design to random trivia to multiple really soft behavioral interviews during an onsite (for SWE) 🤷♀️ The only semi-consistent pattern I’ve seen is that there’s usually an initial call with a hiring manager before the technical portion.
Yup this Also, apple specifically tries to keep their interviews secretive and cryptic - that's what the recruiter mentioned.
But generally they are easier coding? For design just communicate well? So communication and fit are important for Apple?
I’m joining Apple soon. Interviews were mostly design. Coding was leetcode style but not straight from there. Overall interview was difficult but not as difficult as Google. And a lot more rounds as compared to FB/G.
Are they shorter time or do you go for more hours? What level?
1 hour each round at AAPL
tech screen was easier than I thought
What level of leetcode? How many rounds?
I had two "hiring manager" rounds for phone. In each round, they asked me a broad set of domain knowledge questions. Kotlin, Java, Go, HTML, CSS inline styling, React.js, rest api, junit, mockito, streams, lamba expressions. The interviews went at least 20 minutes longer than the scheduled time. And the questions were like write function and code syntax, what is the library this function belongs to in this language etc. And both these rounds were named "behavioral by hiring manager" by the recruiter. Go figure, lol.

No one gets an interview there. Hardest company to get into. I have heard interview experiences of elite hedge funds and unicorns but never Apple
Not sure if you are being sarcastic. I was on a team of 9 , 4 left to Apple over 2 years. I also declined recruiter invite to talk. Never had interest in working there .. maybe that is why I don’t know about this company.. I must be tuning them out.
Not sarcastic never heard anyone mention what Apple interview is like. Everyone keeps saying “tEAm FiT”
