Hello blinders, I had an on-site with Apple 2 weeks ago and although I felt I did well, I still havent heard back. The recuitor told me 2 days ago that the hiring manager will make a decision either next week or the week after, since there are other candidates interviewing. Did anyone have a similar experiance? what’s my startegy to not be in the waiting game for too long?
This is because they have given an offer to another candidate first, if he/she rejects the offer, the recruiter will come to you.
I won’t be surprised, so your saying there’s nothing to be done in that case right?
The same thing happened to me. The recruiter never replied to any of my follow up emails for 2 weeks. I had to ask the sourcer to contact the recruiter and tell him about my competing offers. He later sent a generic reject email. I wish I could give him some feedback and Apple to really look into it. People this bad at there jobs need to go.
have you had any update from Apple?
I had similar experience with another company. In my case total wait was 1 week and in the end hiring manager decided to move forward with other candidate. I tried to push recruiter for a decision by letting them know about competing offers.
Makes sense, the only issue thoo is that I don’t have any competing offers so I’m trying to think of other scenarios to play here
I hear you man. This is a crazy market where the candidates and the employers have plenty of options for shopping around.
