Reltio L1 Tech Support Engineer Salary

Hi! I went through an agency for training straight out of college and then was placed into Reltio as a client site. The contract is 15 months and is ending in October so I will be transferred as a full-time hire at the company. As Reltio doesn’t have much in terms of salary ranges for Technical Support Engineers, how do I calculate or come up with a salary number to negotiate with? I have tried to see how much some L1 Tech Support Engineers make and it’s around 77k but I know that location varies (remote work). I might be promoted to L2 as well which I saw was around 85k. I am in Orange County, CA if this helps. Need some advice from any tech wizards on negotiation or people with the same title in the Master Data Management field! Thank you! TC: 41k YOE: 1 year Company: Reltio (client company for now)

40-75 is common for L1, with literally zero knowledge typically required. For L2 75-135 is pretty common. For skilled engineers 150-180 isn’t unheard of, though it takes a lot of hunting and putting up with BS to find a position that pays this much. Don’t forget about stock/equity. Push hard for equity. You won’t be given as much as SWE, though hopefully you get something.

L2 support pays around 80k-90k with 2-3 years of experience. You should try getting into MDM implementation, it pays higher around 120-140k for 2-3 years of experience. Learn the skills, talk to your colleagues who have been in the role. 15 months of the job as L1 engineer might be on the lesser side of experience to qualify for L2 role. Best wishes.
