During my undergrad I was trying to look for internships, so I applied to hella companies on LinkedIn. One of the companies was called “Tata Consultancy Services” and they reached out to me the next day. The guy introduced himself and congratulated me on how well I did during my prior interviews/assessments (that I never did… bro I legit just applied) and he proceeds to ask me about partying since I listed my fraternity on my resume lmao. Man sounded like a chad, but I was confused and I just went along with it until the phone call ended. They ended up emailing me a offer letter, I was confused af. I didn’t take it, sounded like grunt work for a software engineering internship. Anyone else had this experience?
I think you narrowly escaped a fraudulent offer. There are lot of companies that pose they work for MNCs like TCS or Tata Group and then would in some form dupe money from you.
Lowball recruiters were everywhere a few years ago. I would get tons of messages offering great jobs for 75k TC.
honestly would've been the craziest side hustles ever tbh. out source it and everything

CEOs colluded to send more jobs back to India
This is common when job markets were hot. During the dot com days, many companies would offer jobs to everyone indiscriminately who passes the campus round.
