Are there any credible health insurance plans for parents visiting from India?

Parents don’t have any pre-existing conditions. I heard most plans catering to tourists or visiting family aren’t credible and don’t pay if a hospital visit is ever required or most hospital groups/doctors aren’t willing to accept such plans Are there any credible ones out there?

Probably not. But ask a lawyer about filing for asylum to be eligible for coverage from the exchange.

Avoid patriot America lite. It is not accepted at most urgent cares in Seattle. I had to pay out of pocket for my younger sister when she was visiting and had to go to an urgent care. They make you do a ton of paperwork for filing claims which at the end was not worth my time for the money spent. I am sure they wouldn’t have approved the claim even if I filed.

A neighbor had good luck with insurance bought in India. But the patient was not going to urgent care, rather suffered a heart attack.

Watch from for billing errors and upcoding. Get itemized bills. Remember that the insurance company considers the provider or hospital to be their customer.
