Facebook Infra Data Scientist

I have an upcoming onsite interview at Facebook for Infra Data Scientist. If you have attended an interview for this role at FB, could you share your experience? Do we need to prepare for LC hard and medium questions? They have one round specifically for Programming. If yes is it enough if I focus on the LC Facebook questions? would there be any system design round? Surprisingly I do not see any round scheduled for SQL. TC: 🥜

They wanted sql AND fundamental knowledge of data structures like linked lists and such for my interview

SQL product metrics, a/b testing and some very basic ML and leetcode easy. Its similar to their analytics role but with a little more ML involved. Nothing too fancy though. You won’t be doing research etc

Thanks Glassdoor. Are you sure this is for Facebook Infrastructure Data Scientist? It looks like their selection criterion is different from the regular Analytics Data Scientist at FB. The recruiter was saying that there will be a coding interview which is of similar level as Software engineer. I do not know if it is worth spending time on LC hard and medium problems. For screening round the coding question was pretty basic. Thanks again.

Maybe they changed things recently but afaik infra DS is only slightly more quantitative than analytics DS. I would be surprised if it’s a proper SWE interview

I didn’t go thru the interview as I am Looking for remote but they indicated they would be testing some basic software principles like linked lists and such

If you are looking for tech screening process, here is how it looks: You will be asked SQL questions (nothing complex). 1 to 3 SQL questions Python program (LC easy) Discussion on ML and Statistics concepts. Good luck 👍

Naive question : What’s the TC for DS role in Infra team ? Is it equivalent to SWE ie L6 in Infra = E6 in SWE team ?

You can get 550+ TC if they really want you. More generally 400+. It's close to E6 SWE.
