Anyone who interviewed at CSOD? I have an interview scheduled based on API design, OOPs and system design Looking for tips on how to prepare and what to expect? This is a webex interview so not sure how easy it is to whiteboard.
Team fit is a big deal here so be yourself. Lots of different types of team personalities.
Thank you
Is it the "full" interview via WebEx, or a phone screen? When I interviewed for senior/principal engineer, I had the screen like that but went onsite for final rounds. I had two rounds of an hour each with two people (each). It might've been compressed because I was interviewing with multiple places and had a tight schedule, not sure. First round was algo + API design - algos were LC easy/medium, a few straight out of CTCI. API design was... basically exactly what it sounds like. How you would you design paths to represent the resources, the reasoning for that, advantages of GET vs POST, etc. Second round was system design. Something ecommerce related; definitely be familiar with caching best practices and be ready to justify your choices. I ended up getting the offer at principal level but went with Tinder. Approx TC was 240k with base/RSU/bonus - pretty sure it was high end of the band since I told them what they were competing with.
My WebEx screen was an interesting variation on a LC medium plus similar API design questions as the on-site.
Thank you for elaborating on your experience. So I started with hackkerank assessment. Then 1 hr webex for Algos/ database design Now I have 2 back to back hr long interviews based on what I mentioned above. This I believe is final rounds before they decide on offer. Later there is a CTO phone call. No on-site.
