White House Chief of Staff admits quid pro quo occurred with Ukraine aid

Mulvaney admits in a news conference that aid to Ukraine was withheld in order to pressure Ukraine into investigating Democrat candidates. Former Republican governor and presidential candidate John Kasich now says as a result that he supports impeaching Trump. Polls now show more Americans support impeachment than not, and 55% disapprove of the job he's doing.

So quid pro quo is a part of foreign policy. Get over it.. this is the sentence they used

Actually I heard it as he admitted funding was withheld to pressure them to investigate 2016 election interference (also meant to benefit Trump) but if you ask him now, I'm sure he will say he admitted nothing,..

I think you mean the congressional Dems asked them to investigate the 2016 election interference.

What's wrong with the investigation into the election interference? The full link is up there if you don't want to rely on hearsay.

All foreign aid is tied with preconditions that should benefit the US. It is good for America to root out corruption if there is any. Biden’s son passed the sniff test to investigate further. Case closed!

In this case it wasn't for the benefit of the US, which is why he directed the Ukrainians to connect with his personal lawyer rather than any US government official. It was for the benefit of Trump's personal election campaign. Case closed indeed. Guilty.

Corruption is bad. You’re not exempt from being investigated because you’re running a political campaign. It doesn’t directly help Trump’s campaign. D’s do similar things, requesting help from foreign sources to get dirt on Trump.
