Hi guys, Three years ago, I graduated with a degree in IT (not CS). Right after college, I was received a job offer from the internship I completed during my senior year, marking the beginning of my journey with a salary of 60k, but I noticed that there is no hope with this job. I declined and self-taught myself on software engineering & computer science. I eventually secured my first position as a software engineer at TCS. (TC: 75k) I know that we should all be avoiding WITCH companies, but given my limited options and the opportunity it presented to someone without a strong CS background, I saw it as a stepping stone in my career path. 2 years after joining TCS, I started preparing for interviews. Jesus Christ, this period was undoubtedly one of the most challenging phases of my life. I spent 3 hours after work studying and preparing for interviews EVERYDAY. I applied to more than roughly 2.5k+ companies overall. I got to do so many onsite interviews - PayPal, Bloomberg, C3.AI, Capital One, BlackRock and even Google. All rejected. Just last week, I got an offer from one of the IT digital companies as a Senior Software Engineer. New TC: 141k Now, the question that looms now is, am I happy? Idk. There were so many companies that pay over 200k and I've missed all of them getting rejected, failing the onsite interviews. But, just like when I got my first job, I have no other options at this point. I accepted the offer, coping myself and thinking that the title is more important than my current TC. What do yall guys think? Am I on the right track?

Tech Lead job ? Something is fishy , no one will hire a tech lead with such less experience.
Edited. bro I was dreaming lol it's a senior software engineer, not a tech lead.
Such less bro
You see yourself painted into a corner, but you have made huge progress. You have come from being offered 60k to 141k, which is more than double, in three years. Even if you’ve had so many rejections, you should be proud of yourself for being ready to put yourself out there. With a stronger CV you’ll be able to get more ‘Yes’ answers.
I appreciate it. It's just that those rejections have significantly impacted my self-esteem throughout my journey..
Tech lead seems wrong with your YOE. Did you reflect on why you failed those interviews?
It's a step up right?
very little, but yes
Then smile buddy, and keep working for your dreams
2 years and senior… okay… you win OP
