Since practice fusion recently imploded, considering a fresh start in NYC. What companies would be worth looking into? I’d prefer small-ish to the point where I could have a lot of influence and do a lot, but I’m not opposed to getting paid either. This means I’m certainly considering google NYC or similar. I always thought it might be cool to work for the New York Times? Anyone know anything about that? Any opinions? My background: senior front end, though not opposed to full stack work at all. Experience in consumer facing thick web clients (singe page apps) / emberjs and react Thanks!

Forget finance, it’s a dead market and doesn’t pay what it used to. Oh, and you’ll sell your soul, too, which drags your total compensation down even further.

Question about this: Liza Landsman is leaving after 18 months announced recently on Recode - what's this going to do or how will it shape or affect the culture at Jet? Asking because its seems like a truly awesome company to work for but some of the Glassdoor reviews by engineering members paint a different light. Is engineering really seen only as short term?
