Insert / once a week Updated/ 2 times a week Fetch top 10 by id (10k -100k req per day) (need next 10 records with pagination) Note: total data will be less than 10 gb Budget: 250-500 $ #startup #tech Latency: anything less than 600 ms is good in the beginning TC:120k

A pen drive + mongodb ? 🙂

Do you want the best or the cheapest?

Walmart dkdydbd OP Mar 10, 2023

Am kinda tight on budget, but I don’t want a slow db that takes a lot of time to return

Microsoft nhfynn Mar 10, 2023

Floppy disks or punch cards

Walmart dkdydbd OP Mar 10, 2023

lol are you serious?

Microsoft nhfynn Mar 10, 2023

Perhaps monks can transcribe your data like the days before the printing press

Latency requirements?

Google glglglg Mar 10, 2023

Negative milliseconds, response should arrive even before request is made 🤡

Null pointer exception: response object wasn't even allocated on the client.

You're right on the cusp of the free tier for Firebase. If you can reduce your reads, eg. client caching, you may be able to make it work.

What is your exact budget? You could put a small MySQL DB on a EC2 machine for $6 a month for low load. But you’ll probably want to write a small corn job to get backup in a second attached drive. If you can spend more than that go for aurora. See your read / write requirements and look into dynamodb cost.

Walmart dkdydbd OP Mar 10, 2023

250-500 $

Amazon lordr Mar 10, 2023

My suggestion is to look into aurora db from AWS or similar if using other cloud provider. You can do it a little cheaper elsewhere or by doing yourself, but it’s completely hassle free. And secured. Everything from future scaling backup etc are taken care of. Also see if dynamodb pricing works with details of your transaction requirements. You can just forget about it after deployment and think about other things.

You can try mongo cloud
