Beware of WePay’s predatory recruitment practices

I’m on the hiring board for this company (was forced onto this team, I’m leaving soon) and let me tell you things are atrocious. The entire C-suite executive board left the company last year post-acquisition. All the staff / principal engineers / PMs have left the company. They’re shifting all the blame on “great resignation” whereas everyone at all my previous employers have lost 1-2 people per team, WePay has had scrum teams go from 13 people down to 5 people! They are now resorting to lying to get candidates in the door, forgetting to tell them about the situation here. They will usually match / exceed your current compensation. But don’t take the bait! This place is the definition of a sinking ship. Steer clear.
