I'm new to the US and not sure which health plan to pick. I'm doing my own research but would appreciate if anyone can provide some advice. Thanks. tc: 180k, yoe: 0.1 plus co-op
where can we find the Alex tool?
I had a choice between aetna POS and Aetna epo. I went with POS and have been happy with coverage for myself and my family (it covers a lot of therapies and mental health under my plan). No referrals needed or anything. Aetna DPO sucks though
Kaiser is fine if you are in your 20s
Kaiser is fine regardless. For those who lived in countries with universal healthcare it’s essentially as good as it can get. Yes, you don’t have access to any doctor outside of Kaiser network, but at the same time one stop shop approach is very convenient
If u don’t have recurring illness or need for medical care, choose the one with the lowest premium. This would be a high deductible plan.
I'd go with Aetna hsa

You should use the Alex tool. It asks you questions and recommends a plan and explains them easily.
Yeah this is a good idea for someone not familiar with the different options. My favorite is Aetna HSA
