A small example... A level 3 engineer at faang clearly makes more than level 5(staff engineer) at Cisco or Juniper This should give you a very clear picture I have been Network Engineer for biggest companies... QA network for mid and Juniper company

You can learn Networking QA after worked as dedicated Network engineer , it’s going to be very hard to do other way around. However, QA with automation is a good skill to have and can take you up the ladder.
What do you want to work as in the long run? I have seen many networking QA managers going higher up to directorial roles. But, so did network engineers taking up SRE or Systems level directorial positions.
