Is it true that Cigna did a massive layoff? Sorry to hear that - just it hasn’t been reported in the news (unofficial channels like layoff.com etc only seem to report) and they seem to still be hiring. Any blinders can shed some light? #cigna
Yup. Big layoff yesterday 10/12. People are reporting 2% overall, 10% across bands, etc. not sure the exact figure but a good number of people were sent home today.
Is it IT folks mostly? And any idea if both FTE & contractors are impacted?
It's both, contractors and FTE. Mostly areas which weren't making enough money, by the looks of it.
Yep it happened. 1100 employees. Heard there will be another one in February which will be even bigger.
I don’t see anything on WARN website.
They staggered the layoff in a way to exclude having to report a WARN notice
1/19/24 layoffs just happened. Not sure of the scale yet.
