Depends on what you mean by Software Engineering. I am certain 98% bootcampers will not be able find a SWE job in a few years. Actual software engineers will be in higher demand, to build out AI infra and applications, just like the doc com era.
It's definitely gonna speed up the... *checks notes*... 3 hours of coding I do a week? Turn a non-technical person loose with chatgpt and call me back when they can deploy anything.
I think the way to look at this is 1 SDE can do a lot more with AI's help and push more out.. also quicker to identify bugs and test
