Currently an inside AE at Dell EMC Mahindra rep reached out to me and we had two calls. Today he said they would offer me 100k base | 170 OTE | no stocks. Business development exec is the role but I’m going to be cold calling whitespace and bringing in new business in a acquisition fashion. They are looking to build a bigger presence in the US. Curious if anyone knows what it’s like working for them and if it’s worth pursuing. I have two years of experience not including my internships with some blue chips in the past. Current Job: 60k base 82,500 OTE Data center hardware I’m selling right now is a really complex sale and I feel underpaid. went 110% of quota last quarter. Thanks for the advice blinders.#ae #enterprise #sales #dell #techmahindra
Working for TechM is demanding and is at a fast pace, is not for everyone.
Thanks for the feedback, can you expound a bit more? Also does the compensation sound right
TechM is a fabulous company to work for, honestly the work culture is fast paced and the management is very supportive of wealth creation and career goals. Employees in Sales careers end up making good money as their portfolio grows. But the decision is yours whether you want to choose a large US based company or a start up or a large company with a good size Indian set up. Good luck mate!
My opinion doesn’t hold a lot of weight but you have clear experience at a big name. You can interview for an AE role anywhere. Series E startups to even bigger more progressive companies. I personally wouldn’t consider working for an Indian company breaching into the US market. Management styles could be painful
I never thought about it like that, that’s a valid point. The last thing I want to do is put myself in a tough situation. Thank you.
Interview around at multiple companies. Get a feel for what you prioritize in your next role
