I am jealous😿

Airbnb reacher86 OP Jul 7, 2022

Thanks amigo - I lead a charmed life 😉

Are you for reals. And looks like you've done this in other places too. I haven't been jealous in the past few years on blind. People with 800k to a 1M TC. Okay whatever. But this. This is what I wanted to do throughout my 20s. Sigh. Wife. Kids. Not happening anymore in my lifetime. Wife is too weak to travel like this (not sick but physically can't endure travel even remotely close to this).

Airbnb reacher86 OP Jul 7, 2022

Thanks amigo - I'm lucky I guess. I don't have any responsibilities in life, so I fill the void in my life with these things 😀 I hope you get an opportunity to travel also. I spent my 20s saving money, reading and planning adventures and securing my financial independence, so now trying to enjoy life with songs in my heart, the winds in my hair, sun on my face and stories of adventures in my mind.

How long did you work before you felt taking this risk of traveling and working was feasible

Airbnb reacher86 OP Jul 7, 2022

About 5 years, following which I figured out that all work and no play make Jack a dull boy 😉

JPMorgan Chase guava1.8 Jul 7, 2022

That is what they say lol

How was your experience in Egypt? Have heard only bad things. Turkey on other hand is nice place.

Airbnb reacher86 OP Jul 7, 2022

i had a good experience - there were no tourists as this was start of the pandemic - so I lived like a pharaoh for cheap in 5 star hotels at 50 usd a night. i also had the entire giza pyramids to myself, so enjoyed myself taking a starlight tour of the pyramids on camel, visiting Qarafa the city of the dead where people live among tombs etc - really good fun i enjoyed turkey and egypt - turkey was more modern while egypt was like going back in time

SAP wateriswet Jul 7, 2022

How long does Airbnb allow you to work internationally? I want to do something similar but can only work outside US for 30 days. So I’ve just been doing domestic travels

Airbnb reacher86 OP Jul 7, 2022

they dont ask, i dont tell ....

So when you login on your work laptop, their internal network can't detect that you're logging in from Turkey/Egypt? Were you using a US vpn?

Robinhood GoIsAzz Aug 10, 2022

Are you on H1B?

Airbnb reacher86 OP Aug 10, 2022
