Hi everyone, I am a new grad and received an offer at NetSuite as a BDR and Samsara as an ADR. Both around the same base. After some research, Samsara looks like a great company and works remotely which would be nice but NetSuite has a big name to it which could be good to have as a new grad. What are your thoughts on these companies? Can any current BDR or ADR elaborate on their experiences working for either company? Thank you!
Samsara > Oracle
NetSuites BDR -> AE pipeline is extremely backed up right now. Could take as long as 2 years to become and AE and possibly never an option. But great place to start a sales career, great resources and training
Samsara seems nice to outsiders, but having been here for 4 years (non-sales now, but used to work closely with sales employees), the culture has gone so far downhill it’s jarring. Almost every perk has been stripped away for the sake of the shareholders. Being remote is great, but lots of other companies are offering it as well, and actually care about culture and employee wellbeing. Again I’m not in the sales org, so I can’t speak to that subculture, but Samsara leadership does not care for their employees. I can tell the people and workplace teams are really trying to make a good employee experience, but they’re not given much to work with and are getting more stripped away every day.
