How to invest in India as an NRI?
My roommate has been working with PayCom for 3 years now, he got a call from his director today and was told he had 2 unaccounted work from home days, I.e. he FAILED the hybrid RTO model of 3-day a week work from office by missing 2 days in the last one year. And he was let go and immediately lost access to all systems as soon as the meeting ended, anyone else is in the same boat? #paycom #layoffs #firing
Seems like they don't want to pay severance. Is this company based in the US?

A terrible company does terrible things. RTO and hybrid is just a polite way of firing workers without having to pay severance. I hope your roommate finds a better job that respects his value as a tech worker.
Yeap, just companies being cheap ig š¤·š½
Itās sad but if (s)he knew the rules of the game then they need to play by them. I always am above the attendance min so no cheap shots can come up.
There was no āattendance minā until they seemingly started firing devs for not being in office on a singular day. In fact, it was basically understood that working from home on the occasional in-office day was fine
Seriously? Original post said āhe FAILED the hybrid RTO model of 3-day a week workā. That means knew the rules. Iām not there. Perhaps that statement is incorrect. But I took it as correct. Fight with OP.
It was quite firing. I don't notice anything.
