Looks like Intel is getting serious about autonomous vehicles... $15B is a bit more than the initially publicized $250M investment in the category. Glad to see some strong competition for nVidia's platform; I feel like Mobileye took a big hit losing Tesla, especially given Tesla's pace and replacement partnership with nVidia. So now we've got Intel, nVidia, Qualcomm, and Softbank (not announced in this space AFAIK, but I assume that's what the ARM acq was about). Anyone else relevant on the chips side? Thoughts from Intel and Mobileye folks? http://www.theverge.com/2017/3/13/14906304/intel-mobileye-acquisition-self-driving-cars
how many employees in mobileye?
