Believe it or not - I recently interviewed at a big tech. Not FAANG, but a level lower. The coding round was a medium question that had a 10-line solution, but I solved it in 35-40 lines. I took up the entire 55 minutes to code, had a lot of failing test cases, fixed them, failed some others, fixed again etc. System design was mediocre - I wasn’t able to answer the questions related to the crux of the problem. In the end I got a top of the band offer, no kidding. But it was lower than what I make at Snap so I had to pass on it. Interviewing is a lot about luck and how you carry yourself more than any prep - I have realized this after interviewing at tens of companies and having worked at Google, Amazon and Snap myself. I consider these rounds “bombed” because that’s what Blinders make you think these days - single mistake and it’s marked as “failed”. I just want to say - that’s not true at all!! You lucky ..
Are you of a gender who has diversify benefit or trying to fill in some quotas ?
Given the demographics of this app’s user base, I think OP is the opposite of a diversity candidate
Yeah right..... We believe you.
Thanks
Congrats. Since you rejected, why not share the company name and offer breakdown
Was it Microsoft ?
Will $SNAP prices sustain till Q2? Should I hold or sell
Hold. Snap will double till next quarter in my opinion.
Don't worry. They will rescind the offer soon.
Level at Snap?
