career help. want to move to tech s&o from mgt consulting

i have varying experience working at a big bank, payments, etc. in the capacity of program manager, business analyst, and product manager, etc. i am currently working as an engagement manager at a big 4 consulting firm. want to pivot into strategy and ops in tech (fintech/FAANG/others). overall experience: 9 years current location: nyc planned location: nyc / san francisco if anyone made a similar jump from consulting to tech — can you please share your experience? what is the best way to prepare, interview etc. at a startup/FAANG/fintech?
