Best teams for database internals?
Aside from teams in Google, Meta, Amazon, Snowflake, Databricks, DataDog, Confluent, Microsoft, Elastic, Oracle, Cockroach Labs, and Yugabyte are there any stable medium to large companies with strong teams in database internals (query execution, transaction processing, storage engines, consensus, etc)?

Yes but why not Yugabyte or Cockroach? Only ones here that are both pre IPO and doing well with good long-term business fundamentals.
