Fb data scientist , product analytics work-life balance?

I'm an L5 product DS. I've gotten away with 6-7 hour days for the past two years, by carving out a strong expertise niche on the team first (and working proper 8 hour days the first year or two). It definitely limits career progression but if your WLB demands it, there are teams like that. I'd just ask about what kind of work the DS team does, independence of roadmaps, frequency of fire drills and SEV consulting, how stable the team's structure and leadership has been, etc. - try to get indicators of how comfortable everyone feels.
