There's a lot of "why dems" this, "why republicans" that here... They're 2 sides of the same coin.

Rant incoming, and I'm an instigator but mostly because where else can we be forthright about what we think.... So, the way people parrot headlines like there is no brain/self-thinking capacity. And the same people shitting on any kind of liberal arts education. (BOTH SIDES) P l e a s e learn to think about what you're reading. I don't mean to be patronizing but have you ever just asked yourself some questions after reading an article like: -what is the argument here? -who does this perspective benefit? Why would someone want to support that perspective? -who funds this source/author? Seriously, we have to get out of this good vs evil moralizing and "follow the money." E.g., no matter how you feel about Occupy Wall St, did you know that "the 1%" is not referring to any one of us nobodies on this app. It's talking about Koch brothers, Bill & Jeff. None of us have any power over politics, THAT's the 1%. If you're a SWE still wondering how you're going to buy a house, why would the poors have anything to do with that? Same with questions about why this rural/urban republican/democrat divide, why they do things that might seem contradictory to gaining voters, it's because their platform is not what they tell you it is! Your average Congress person is paying attention to who/what multinationals are offering them, not whether theyre American or Russian or Chinese. I'd look into how much 1% actually means anymore because there are a LOT more zeroes added every day for no reason at all. TC: 65,500
