Is “General Electric- Appliances” a safe company?

Does anyone know much about work from home positions at GE? Is this a stable company to work for?

short answer: the GE Appliance company isn't apart of GE, it was sold off, but the new owner still uses the GE logo/brand GE is moving away from being a conglomerate GE Aerospace is safe GE Healthcare is safe GE Vernova is not safe (3 former GE businesses combined - Power, Renewables, Digital) Other GE branded businesses aren't GE but were allowed to use the logo (GE Aerospace profits from this even though seeing our logo everywhere can confuse people) WLB = hybrid or fully remote or on-site (depends on role, or, you can ask your people leader to approve you to be fully remote - just make sure you're a top performer with a good reputation for reliability if u go through your people leader) Unlimited PTO - so you'll always see Out Of Office messages in Outlook on a weekly basis (i took 96 days of PTO last year - make sure you're a top performer so no one complains about you taking that much time off) stability - GE Aerospace owns majority market share for commercial jet engine manufacturing, and has a military division to support the US government, and an additive manufacturing business + research business, the US government wouldn't allow Aerospace to fail pay - I make 190K this year (all base) - you can earn more in the tech industry versus manufacturing

Isn’t GE appliance owned by Chinese company Haier?

GE Jet.Engine Mar 2, 2023

GE sold off that business to a Chinese company and they were allowed to use the logo/brand as part of the deal - allowing GE to profit off the sell I believe GE sold off its Transportation business too - who ever owns it may still be using the GE logo/brand (not sure how the contract was structured during spin off)
