commute from Sunnyvale to SF

How bad the daily commute would be if I want to commute from Sunnyvale to SF downtown via train? Anyone commute daily between these cities?

An hour or so on the train if you take the bullets. You could use GoBike on the san francisco side, faster than walking unless it's a super short walk.

Thanks. Is it common to commute between these two places? I am new to this place.

Not unusual.

I’d highly recommend not doing it. It’s a torture. But yes, doable if it’s the last resort!

This. Imagine a bad day at work and having to do this commute after work. So not worth it

> Is it common to commute between Sunnyvale to SF? You will be glad to get an empty seat in caltrain during peak hours. Buy a bike, live close to caltrain station.

Salesforce?

You should move closer.

Switching at milbrae to get on Bart after u had a seat on Caltrain seems like a bad idea/shitty time. Rather ride Caltrain to end and take n or t line to Embarcadero. Either way, have fun commuting 2.5-3 hours a day.

Where in SF? And where in Sunnyvale? If you can get on at MTV and get off at 4th and King, you can greatly reduce your travel time compared to getting on at Sunnyvale or Lawrence. I did it for 4 years. Pretty easy, but it does weigh on you after a few years...

I did the same commute for 2 years. Don't do it. You won't have a life.
