im thinking of switching from att to googlefi or t-mobile, coverage map is not exactly accurate of what to expect. any advice?
Anything but T Mobile.

I just switched to T-Mobile. First I am saving about $100.00 a month from what I was paying having the family plan. You pay a flat monthly fee, no taxes or any hidden charges. I get free Netflix unlimited data, text and free Hot spot. Great customer service. T-mobile Tuesdays and much more. Check it out. Using my own phone and have my original phone number.
How is the phone coverage ? How many bars do you have ? And how is the internet connection?
I have 3-4 bars and I am in a building that is hard to get reception. Coverage is nationwide including Mexico and you can use in foreign countries such as I did in South Africa. Internet connection is great. Never had an issue not connecting. No contracts, cancel anytime. Free Netflix.
I have to revisit my plans too...att feels expensive with no benefits
Att has free hbo (go) and their att thanks app. Not that it’s great.
Reception in Redwood City seems unreliable for others except att and Verizon which makes me hesitant
However to get HBO from AT&T you need to get a package. When I had it I had to get Landline, mobile and internet. I eventually cancelled landline and internet, went with Comcast, T-mobile for phones and told AT&T I was going to cancel Directv if they didn’t give me HBO for a year free. So now I have HBO and Netflix for free and I am saving close to $200.00 total. Got to do your homework and negotiate.
HBO comes with the unlimited wirelessl data plan
Just don’t go with ATT again, they value their policies more than their customers, and their coverage is terrible. I live in the heart of Silicon Valley and can’t get a signal at home.
Check Visible. They also have a gift card offer ongoing.
Same boat ... but I don’t like the T-Mobile coverage ...
