Analog devices bonus
Hello, What’s the avg bonus payout for analog devices over the last years especially pre Covid ? I see that amount can be 0x - 3x based on OPBT and YTY growth. Any predictions for 2023 ? Thanks #ADI #analogdevices #Bonus
I wouldn't predict more than maybe 1.75x tops
The target numbers seem quite high and also the margin from 0 to 1x is super low. Hence was feeling a bit skeptical 🤔
Since I started at ADI, I've been tracking our payout factors: the average has been 1.7x, and the lowest I've seen is 0.15x. I predict we'll still have a strong Q1 but end the year somewhat closer to average. The payout factor has gone to zero in the past, just not during my time here.

Bonus are decent this quarter, but next quarter likely slight less than 2. The press release predicts revenue to be flat 3.2b vs 2.97b last year. Margin remain similar. It’s great that decimals are used.

2022 was 3x 2021 was also decent, just below 3x 2020 and 2019 it wasn’t that great No predictions about 2023. The upcoming Q1 results will give a better idea. But in the past, companies like ADI have been stable during downturns since they have relatively less exposure to consumer.
