I actually think you need the merger to offset the current monopoly Walmart has.
On a smaller scale, they let Amazon buy Whole Foods. Aetna owns CVS. What’s to keep MSFT or Goog from buying either Kroger or Albertsons. What if BABA bids to buy? Smithfield is owned by WH, China. Don’t know what to support: protection from monopolies, state sponsored takeovers , or maybe just adapt faster with technology and use globalization to benefit people and the planet.
FCC and DOJ only do their jobs as long as it doesn’t involve tech or defense mergers
