I have a 45 min screening video interview for a Data Scientist position at Facebook in a few weeks from now. I will be tested on a case question and also on grouping, aggregation, and joins. It will be a product analytics interview. I would be grateful for any suggestions on how I can prepare better for the interview. TC - 120K City - Chicago YoE - 5
You need to do SQL for sure then they’ll make you redo the query in pandas or R
I’ve gone through their technical screen with Python and Pandas. They’re looking for a working solution. The entire process felt like more of a Data Analyst role, rather than a Data Scientist one.
Buy and read "Trustworthy Online Controlled Experiments" by Kohavi, Tang, Xu. I was able to much more confidently answer questions related to the practical challenges of rolling out new product features via A/B testing after reading that book.
I got reject from final round recently. For initial rounds, I prepared all the questions asked previously in Glassdoor, Youtube etc. Check DataScienceJay, DataInterviewPro on youtube. For second round, check medium article on cracking the data Scientist interview at Facebook.
Can i dm? I have an upcoming onsite
LC easy medium sql would be enough for this round. For case study/product sense go through yt vidoes as mentioned above by someone..for product sense Interview query has good resources...make sure you frame your answer well and cover all the required points
Leetcode sql questions for the coding, ask your recruiter for sample questions on the product case
Thanks, my interview is in R
Actually they gave me an option to use R, Python or SQL and I chose R because I have 5 years of experience writing code in R.
