Can anyone from Lacework tell whats goin on at Lacework? I was rejected last year in Oct 21' for SWE and was planning to interview again this year with Ingestion Team. Last year the blind ratings were like 3.9-4.0 . This year it's 3.5. I mean what happened? Layoffs are happening everywhere. Is it because of the layoffs? It seemed to be a terrific company like next Stripe or Databricks. Is it still a great place to work? WLB can be tough, but thats alright. Amazon and Meta too have tough wlb. I think I have to interview with sysdig, orca and Wiz as well. π All these three have impressive customers and Lacework customer are no-name companies. SysDig Customers: SAP, Cisco, Goldman Sachs, SAP Concur, Comcast etc https://sysdig.com/customers/ Wiz Customers (most impressive): Slack, Salesforce, Snowflake, Priceline, Costco, Fox etc https://www.wiz.io/customers Orca Customers: Robinhood, Databricks, Carta, Duolingo, SAP etc https://orca.security (scroll to the bottom) Lacework Customers: π π https://www.lacework.com/customers/ Does Lacework has any famous or big customers apart from Vmware? TC: 290k YOE: 8 #lacework #cybersecurity #crowdstrike #paloaltonetworks #sysdig #faang #microsoft #apple #meta #google #amazonaws #salesforce #stripe #databricks
From what Iβve heard itβs a very toxic environment
People say same about Stripe, Tesla, Amazon, Meta, Robinhood, Doordash. Doordash has less than 3.2 ratings for work-life balance
@snowflake can you refer me
Are lacework and datadog competing in the same market?
If you look at crowdstrike's public customer list, it is very underwhelming as well. The big guys don't actually disclose what they use.
We have some big named customers too...they just don't like to disclose that they're using us because we're under NDA. You'll be fine in ENG. We've lost some momentum but I think there's plenty of runway to last another 3 years and we have enough $$ to hire great leaders to help us get back on track. The next 9-12 months will tell whether or not Lacework will IPO or get acquired.
Cool. I am setting up my onsite.
Nope! There are no large enterprise customers, not even one in the fortune 500. Wiz has nearly 25% market share of fortune 500. Lacework only targets small companies with less than 1000 employees. The product is not designed for enterprises and does not have basic features like RBAC. The team cannot deliver this platform to a large enterprise. Further, the issue is management does not acknowledge their mistakes and there is blame game culture. They are putting all the blame for Lacework's missed revenue targets on war in Ukraine and Putin. Whereas their competitors are doing record business look at PANW and Wiz
