Saw on Twitter that the developer who created and copilot “from inception to GA” received only 20k bonus and title bump. While the VP who was most against the project got put* in charge of it. Any truth to this?
I heard it’s worse—he escalated the issue asking for more credit/gratitude bonus and got a bit burned. Currently on pip and getting pressure to be managed out. Really sad for him, I heard he is insanely talented.
My cash is on him also getting threatened for the twitter post.
Sadly I’ve seen this many times in my career. Happens practically everywhere.

Let’s say my team of 10 crates a product that generates workday a billion bucks a year. I am not expecting an additional cent other than the stock to go up and some kudos. This ain’t finance where millions of bonuses are expected.
