Hope you all are doing well today. I interviewed for a Jr Software Engineering role at Leidos which was a 30 min phone interview which turned out to be about an hour. I just wanted to know what the interview process is with Leidos especially for this role. If you have been through the process before. And how long do I wait to hear back.
Great place to coast, but it will cost you BIG time when you are ready to grow.
Could you explain a little bit more? How will it cost me big? I am planning to transition into a DBA role with a lot more pay at the company and I figured this would get my foot in the door.
If you switch roles within a company, you might not get the kind of pay that an external hire would get. That is something you need to consider. It might be better to leave for the role you want, then boomerang back. Leidos is also not a prestigious name and everyone knows they don't pay very well. You'll likely be lowballed when you want to leave.
Interviewed for a Jr position in New England. They capped at 75k and wouldn’t even budge from it when I had a competing offer. 9 day / 80 hrs work schedule seemed cool af. Their team seemed experienced w/ good practices, but had no desire to grow and develop themselves. Interview was a bunch of new grad trivia in the language they worked in. The product I interviewed for was interesting, but the stagnant pay for the area and team dynamic turned me away.
Ooh I see.. I interviewed for a location in the United States and when I checked the salary, it was 90k for a Jr position in my area in the United States. Not sure how accurate that is. Thank you for sharing.
OP You do know New England is in the United States right?
