Medtronic Salary Expectations
Currently in the final stages of the interview process with Medtronic in greater Boston location and they’ve asked me what my base salary expectations are. Im planning on leaving Raytheon Technologies after 2.5 years to go to another company and preferably a different industry outside of defense. What base salary range should I ask for a systems engineer II at Medtronic? TC:83k #health #healthcare

Update they offered 87k + 7.5% bonus
They are lowballing you. An Associate SE in Mounds View starts at 95k and 10% bonus. Boston should be higher due to cost of living etc. I am a 12 year MDT veteran that was also a Tech Fellow. Counter the offer
Medtronic pays lower than defense IMHO. Why didn’t you try LM? Or NG?
I want to try out different industries. Often times those who stay in defense end up being pigeonholed into staying in defense later down the road
Agree. Is defense career bad? Doesn’t LM pay 150k+ for Principal Systems Engineer?
