Should I take servicenow or meta? The now offer is a bit lower but remote. I realize now has zero engineering prestige and overly proud university of phoenix online graduates, but their money printer goes brrrrrr.
Whats the offers? You have 0 details
Who cares about education past l3 maybe l4
If you value remote, go for servicenow tbh. Heard too many stories from recent Meta joiners regretting their decision. Multiple accounts from my circle that say it’s worse than Amazon, which is a pretty serious allegation. The teams currently hiring at Meta skew towards the shittier teams that need headcount due to churn and things constantly being on fire.
Servicenow is remote? Thought they were hybrid in San Diego
> zero engineering prestige Plenty of ex-faang and other big tech engineers here. Not sure where you got this idea from but you’re way off.
The outside perception is that its the elephant graveyard for washed out talent in San Diego. There’s not many challenges building single tenant model enterprise SaaS. Plus now doesn’t even have a good engineering blog and is a consumer of open source, not a producer of anything note worthy. But their money printer sure goes brrrrr
Depends on where in the company you are. In platform engineering, there are definitely challenging problems to solve. Single tenant has nothing to do with it. The nature of the challenges is different from consumer software like meta, but that doesn’t mean it’s any less difficult especially when you’re building a platform that’s meant to be used for literally anything. It can be very complex.
Can any service now folks answer how is internal mobility. I mean how is easy is it to change teams, relocate to international locations
Lol imagine asking for advice and providing absolutely no information
OP: "Should I take X company or Y company?" Everyone: "What are the details?" OP: *leaves*
Ofcourse the obvious
Service now is remote? Is that typical/easy to get or did you have to fight for it?
