Hi all, I’m going to have a phone interview with Red Hat next week. The interview will be around 20 minutes. Has anyone gone through the Red Hat interview process? Please shed me some light so I can be well prepared for it.
I recently had the interview. I got a rejection 3rd round. I think 20min interview is just HR followed by 90min lab and then 1 hr long tech interview
Please don't be discouraged. I am sure you will be successful. The hackerrank lab is the key. you need to be clear about LVM, iptables/firewalld, Filesystem, various n/w, block and object storage
I am not sure why they rejected me. I completed the lab successfully(basically mini version of RHCE exam). Then had 1.5 tech interview and very next day I received a autogenerated email saying “They found a better mach” Still not sure why i got a rejection :)
How well did you do on the technical interview? What role did you apply?
Container Infrastructure Consultant I think i did good. During tech interview process, the gentleman said, we will be meeting soon. But the very next day I got rejection email from HR :( I am working on Linux for more than 10 years now and have RHCE certification. It would make sense, if i get some feedback so that I can correct myself. Pretty frustrated right now on myself ☹️
10 yoe and you still got rejected. I feel bad for you. I aslo feel discouraged since I only have 1.5 yoe. Mind if you could share what kind of questions they asked?
I assume 20 minutes interview will be with HR recruiter? Usually you talk to recruiter about how much you going to like this role and the amount of travel is all right with you. Note consultants can travel 90% . I travel almost every Sunday evening and come back Thursday night. Then there will be a hands on Lab to test your Linux skills, perhaps some docker skills as well. Read and practice rhcsa t/ rhce type problems. Then there will be a panel interview. I had a 30 min presentation and 30 min panel interview. Good luck
I’m going to the panel interview next week. Aware of the 30 min presentation and sounds like it is a quite intense interview. Has anybody got rejected at this round before? What’s the reason?
Sorry no idea.. can you share yours, and also what position/yoe
I’m applying for Container Infrastructure Consultant yoe: 1.5
Thanks.. good luck and let us know how it went.
