data scientist here (more like product analytics). can i get paid more else where?
current base pay is 120k. Can other companies offer more pay or is my pay pretty competitive? 5 years of experience with progressively increased types of analysis(started with just sql, then sas, now using R and Python to build regression models to analyze product). Not deploying models living in washington state
200k is a lot! My TC with annual bonus is not even close. Does a FB product DS use any machine learning models to any extent?
Not production model. But some use it to generate insight.

More towards analyst(product analyst/ BIE/ data engineer) Data science in google is a PHD statistician role. TC for that is around 230 for L4.
Are you in PDM? You'll probably find it hard to crack FAANG DS, but you can join another job family (business intelligence engineer, technical program manager?) and if you want to stay, switch to data scientist. Since you're in Seattle I'd recommend getting a referral and joining Amazon at L5, you'll probably make slightly more. You'll grind more because Liberty has 3 days WFH and Amazon has high expectations, but you'll get an awesome name on your resume, won't pigeonhole yourself into insurance forever, and can finally get out of dealing with SAS.
Non-PDM. I think your last points (+pay) was the top reason for me wanting to consider somewhere else. I do agree WFH is good here though Thanks!

The base is ok. The problem is LM can’t compete because they don’t give you any equity. You can get higher base, higher bonus % and equity if you work at FAANG.
