SmartNews Tokyo current situation

Hello good people. Recently a recruiter approached me to do interviews for one of their backend engineering team. I am actively looking for a change so it intrigued me to give it a try. But I remember a year back i heard some layoff news of SmartNews in USA, China office. Not sure about Tokyo office though. What’s the situation here on Tokyo office now? Anyone working here can share some information of how things are going on. Will it be worth to try here in the current circumstances? Thanks TC 11M Yen
