They don’t technically do it anymore. But the same stack ranking happens off the books to arrive at your bonus $$. Just nothing is recorded in terms of your actual ranking number. Just review feedback.
Number is recorded, there is still a rank number but it is not shared with the employee. Managers are moving sliders on the scale from 0-9.
