i am guessing they have greater upside than netflix?
Disney has always been cheap in TC
Super cheap you mean?
They laid off American IT workers and asked them to train Indian replacement to save a few pennies. https://www.nytimes.com/2016/10/14/us/judge-says-disney-didnt-violate-visa-laws-in-layoffs.html
wut. nflx is 500K+ for L5. how could disney compete.
Everyone I know from Disney left because of terrible pay first, and terrible culture as a close second.
Disney wont make a dime off of Disney+ for years - even their ex-CEO admitted it. Netflix hasnt made a (real) dime off of their streaming operations either. Paper profits yes, real profit heck no.
We got 900M in cash flow once we paused production last quarter. It wasn't paper profit. It's real profit all along.
Not sure what Netflix is but I’m a senior higher level IC at 291k TC.
What’s your title/IC level? P4 is Senior Eng/Tech Lead. P3 is Senior. P2 is mid level. P1 is associate. Are you saying you’re P5? Or are you P6? What’s your TC breakdown if you don’t mind me asking? I’m a P1 at DSS.
Also how long have you been with DSS?
I see it as complimentary. Like you have both going forward
What?
