i applied to the same job in three different locations because they had multiple listings up and each one came back as a “no, but we will let you know if something else comes up” each rejection came from a different person, but none of them are people i can find online on linkedin… i understand an automated email, but those usually come from a random no reply email address and don’t have personal signatures. **update: nice to know my experience is shared, but im sorry other people also went through the same thing. :/ i understand the desire to have plausible deniability as noted in one response, but that doesn’t explain the fake recruiters that these emails are coming from.
Wow I had the same experience. I applied through a referral, basically got an automatic rejection the next day from an Indian guy that was nowhere to be found online. Was the most bizarre experience lol
Rejections are automated for plausible deniability
Same experience. For me it was some indian lady
I don't think it makes a lot of sense to apply at Google at the moment...
they had open roles though, i know there is a lot of layoffs happening but those roles were for a rotational program so it’s a safer option (or at least i thought it was)
Same experience
